The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders. Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Students must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the program free of charge.

RE: 2021 Application and Selection Process
The Governor’s Scholars Program Office will mail a packet of information to all Superintendents, Principals and School Junior Counselors with documents related to the 2021 Application and Selection Process. These documents will serve as the guidelines to begin and to conduct the process at the high school level, then at the school district level (in the case of districts with more than one high school), and to submit the applications for the competition at the State level.
Because of the current circumstances, our official form of communication will be this website. Please continue regularly checking it for any updates. Of course, you may contact our office at 502-209-4420 or at email@example.com for additional information.
