The Governor's Scholars Program Foundation's exclusive purpose or role is to support the Governor's Scholars Program (GSP). The Foundation, which is a separate 501(c) (3) non-profit, tax exempt entity, serves as the organization which both receives and generates financial support for the Governor's Scholars Program. From its inception, the GSP was designed to be funded and supported through a unique relationship between the Governor and state legislature and the private community – corporations, foundations, organizations, and friends, including parents and grandparents. We believe that this unique relationship is one of the reasons Kentucky's GSP has been so successful. And now, at this point in its history, we're trying to do even more to enhance its foundation of support and insure its future.
